Cardinal Butterfly - $200

Who knew that there are red butterflies in Ireland?  We discovered them in the meadows below the ruins of a castle near Waterford… has it already been four years since that trip? 

This piece is my contribution to the “Bound by Color” series created by Loosely Bound.  It is currently on display at La Sells (check out the events and shows page here on my site)!  It is intensely stitched, wrapped around a 24″ square canvas  – and VERY red!
